Elephant-astic

Sooo cute!! A few days ago, this lovely baby elephant was born in the Zoo of Antwerp, Belgium. It's a girl, Kai-Mook, meaning 'pearl' in Thai, because she's an Asian elephant, a little smaller than the African ones. But wouldn't you want to hug this darling? Even though she probably weighs about 100 kgs, little elephants make me feel like a child again. Remember Babar? And Elmer, the patchwork elephant? ♥

Zooo schattig!! Een paar dagen geleden werd in de Zoo van Antwerpen dit superlieve olifantje geboren. Het meisje heet Kai-Mook, dat 'parel' betekent in het Thais, want ze is een Aziatische olifant, dus een beetje kleiner dan de Afrikaanse. Maar zou je dat pareltje niet meteen willen knuffelen? Ze weegt dan wel zo'n 100 kg, lieve kleine olifantjes doen me denken aan de verhalen van Babar en Elmer, de lapjesolifant. ♥
