Ik ben ervandoor!! Vertrek morgen voor mijn allereigenste Grand Tour! Zoals alle grote kunstenaars vroeger naar Italië trokken, ga ik me een maand onderdompelen in alles wat Japan te bieden heeft. Him

Plots staat hij daar.
Achter het hoekje.
Op z'n gemak naar je te kijken.
Alsof ie nooit wat anders doet.
Met grote lieve ogen kijkt ie naar je.
Tot je je omdraait en hem aankijkt.

Dan schiet zijn staart tussen zijn poten
en vlucht ie terug naar z'n holletje.

De kat van vriendin A.
Of wat dacht je dan?



All of a sudden, he's there.
Behind the corner.
Watching you.
As if he never does anything else.
With big loving eyes, he looks at you.
Until you turn around and look him in the eye.

Then his tail drops between his legs,
and he runs all the way back to his nest.

Student meltdown

Studeren... Zou ik moeten doen vandaag... Niet dus ^.^ En als de concentratie gaan wandelen is, wat kan je anders doen dan achter je bureau zitten tekenen, tijd verliezen, figuurtjes vouwen van restjes papier, het laatste verdwaalde paasei opsnoepen, je zonnebril poetsen, en veeeel te lang surfen? Een productieve dag? Wel ja, toch een beetje dan ^.^

Vanmorgen nog snel-snel de stad in gefietst voor de trouw van een vriendin, en - na een heerlijke lunch - terug in de stoel om verder te werken (lees : prutsen). De feesten zijn voor in de zomer, en plots lijkt die nog mijlenver van hier verwijderd...

Maar eigenlijk mag ik niet klagen : one down, two to go ^.^ Duimen!!

Studying... Should do some today... Not ^.^ When concentration walks away, what else is there to do than sit behind your desk, drawing, wasting time, making origami figures from scraps of paper, eat the last (and lost) easter egg, polish your sunglasses, and surf waaay too long? A productive day? Well yes, just a little ^.^

This morning I rush-rushed into town for a friend's wedding, and - after a great lunch - got back to my chair to work *cough*. Parties are for summer, and all of a sudden that seems so far far away...

But I actually have no reason to complain : one down, two to go ^.^ Wish me luck!!

Sfinks Festival

I hope you all had a great weekend!! I know I did. We partied at Sfinks Festival, a really cosy world music festival, with fantastic acts and super happy people all around. Here is my impression of the night.

Fredy Massamba had great energy.

The Karim Baggili Quintet jazzed up the place with classical instruments and great percussion.

The harpist of Cimarrón rocked his harp - really awesome!!
