Sfinks Festival

I hope you all had a great weekend!! I know I did. We partied at Sfinks Festival, a really cosy world music festival, with fantastic acts and super happy people all around. Here is my impression of the night.

Fredy Massamba had great energy.

The Karim Baggili Quintet jazzed up the place with classical instruments and great percussion.

The harpist of Cimarrón rocked his harp - really awesome!!

My super handy little vintage bag.

Festival style ^^

The Bar.

Late night soup.

Will definitely be back next year!!

Are these bags super original or what?

LEW

LEW : Kim Leemans and Merel Wicker. Take a look at their spring/summer 09 collection. As Susie of Style Bubble says, it's "controlled ice-cream, straight-edged cupcakes". Great collection!!

The Laughing House

The past few days have been busy, filled with all sorts of activities. The most exciting part was probably the delivery of an order I made on Etsy last week. The package came all the way from Singapore! Scroll down these pictures and fall in love! Thank you so much!!

Summertime, and the living is easy

I can now proudly announce that summer has finally hit Belgium! The last few days have been filled with sunshine, and siesta has become a way of life. I won't shout it out to loud, lest the rain should pop in without invitation...
Just couldn't hide this from you : a lovely Stella McCartney Resort 2010 Collection with Anouck Lepère. A smile a day keeps the doctor away. ^^

UPDATE : With all this heat, I forgot two C's... The C in Anouck Lepère's name (which has been added now), and the C for 'Credits' : inspiration via A Cup of Jo, pictures on Style.com.

Paraphernalia

Beautiful necklaces, brooches and bracelets, inspired by vintage illustrations and 19th century magicians. Ms. Vanda makes all of them by hand in her studio in Lisbon. Their website - Paraphernalia.nu - is definitely worth a visit!!

The aftermath

Finally finished my exams!! My friends aren't as lucky as I am, so I went shopping today - knowing the parties are yet to come :)
When I came home, instead of taking pictures of my treasures, I thought a pencil might rescue me from the post-stress that was still running through my veins. Take a look at the result.

Shoes & Food - all you need

Art inspires. Not that you didn't already know :)

I just really wanted to show you this awesome Christian Louboutin ad campaign, photographed by Peter Lippmann. He is one of the most famous still life photographers, and obviously inspired by 18th century still life paintings.

James and the Giant Peach

The peach I was craving for this afternoon made my imagination run wild, making me remember that lovely book by Roald Dahl, James and the Giant Peach. It's been years since I read it, but somehow it popped in my mind today. I don't even remember if James actually had a bike...
